I'd hoped to be able to say that Lorna Byrne's book, Angels in My Hair, is number one in Ireland, but it's slipped from number two to four in the charts - partly, I think, because shops have underestimated hunger and there are few copies left on the shelves.
There hasn't been a single review, but then MBS books (Mind, Body ,Spirit, the conventional bookseller's category) are almost never reviewed, even though they form such a large proportion of total books sold. Maybe my book was widely reviewed because it didn't look MBS.
Lack of reviews doesn't seem to affect sales of MBS books, maybe because people who are spiritually-minded know not to expect coverage of their kind of literature on the literary pages.
As for feature coverage, that's easier, though you still have to deal with people who worry they are going to look foolish if they appear to take MBS seriously and give it house room. Even journalists who are believers often suffer from this.
Some people worry about meeting Lorna because they fear she will see the state of the soul, the dark, discolouring thoughts, anything that's twisted or neurotic or plain bad. It's true that she will, but she will regard these things with complete compassion, and people will come away from a meeting feeling blessed.
Then there are extreme cases. Because of who she really is - and that for the moment will have to remain a secret - demons have to show themselves to her. And nothing but good can come from that.
She's definitely someone I'd like to meet.

Al, I'm glad that you have no worries about the state of your soul!

Jonathan,
On the contrary, I do have a few worries concerning my soul, but if Lorna is authentic then she's someone who can definitely assist me so I'll have less things to worry about.

Al, if you're serious, I'll arrange it in due course

Jonathan,
I'm serious and I have a friend who wouldn't mind meeting Lorna as well. You have my email address, let me know what you have in mind.

I read Lorna's book Angels in My Hair all i can say is wow, what a life she must live, i don't know if i could cope with all those things happening to me, i think you would have to be a very strong person and I'm not. I'm not saying that i wouldn't want to see angels - it must be the most satisfying thing to know they are there and that they are looking after us

Will she be in London in the near future?

Thanks, May. Yes, Lorna suffers for her gifts.
Nick, we're waiting to hear when she can go on daytime TV. A presenter's parent died the other day, which suddenly made the prospect of meeting Lorna much more serious and worrying - so it's been postponed.
